Spanish rule in the región is represented by a splendid painting of the Duke of Linares, oil Francisco Martínez painted in 1723 and some important objects that belonged to Martín de Zavala, governor of El Nuevo Reino de León. Some other objects refer to the processes of colonization livestock, mining and agricultue that were recorded during the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries.
