In Nuevo León several leading figures joined the cause of the insurgents. Fray Servando Teresa de Mier, Bernardo Gutiérrez de Lara, Santiago de Villarreal and various personal ítems are displayed, deserves relevant mention the printing press that came with Fray Servando and the expedition commanded by Francisco Javier Mina in 1817.
